Huge congratulations to our Scoil Dara Debate Team who were victorious at the Maynooth University debates on 28 November 2019 and for their recent win in the Concern Debate hosted in Scoil Dara. Well done to all.

Dr John McGinnity (Asst. Registrar and Admissions Officer), from Maynooth University gave his annual presentation to 6th year students on 27th November 2019. The 13 academic awards were based on the best 5th year summer results in the areas of Arts, Engineering, Business and Accounting, Maths and Science. Dr McGinnity also advised students of all courses offered by Maynooth University. Congratulations and well done to the students who received the Awards.

As part of activities planned in Scoil Dara during Science Week, 2nd class students from Coca Naofa NS visited our school. Our TY Biology students planned a variety of demonstrations and experiments for these students. It was a great learning experience for all. A CAO Information Session for 6th Year Parents was held in Scoil Dara on Monday 21st October 2019, which was hosted by the Guidance and Counselling Department. The purpose of the talk was to explain the CAO System and its alternative access routes such as PLC, SUSI, DARE and HEAR.

Mental Health and Wellbeing week aimed to raise awareness of positive mental health and promote the importance of wellbeing for both students and staff, as well as adding to the positive atmosphere of the school. A Schedule of Activities was planned for the week. Thanks to all involved in co-ordinating and promoting the week's activities.
