Study Skills is a new initiative in Scoil Dara set up to assist first year students with studying. It is run by teachers, free of charge, who will create a relaxed and informal atmosphere where students can explore new ways of studying. We will help students to identify their preferred method of study and introduce them to various study techniques (e.g. MindMaps, Flow Charts, Concise Note-taking, etc) which can be used in any subject.

Congratulations to our past pupils Ciara Byrne and Cathal Coffey who both received an Entrance Scholarship to Maynooth University. The scholarship is awarded to students who obtained between 525 and 545 points.

Congratulations and best wishes to 1997 Leaving Certificate student Fiona Smyth who is off to Havard University in USA on a post doctoral scholarship. Fiona qualified as an architect and obtained her PhD in 2012.
